Google pagerank,is an important part of the internet biz.

Here are few basic steps that can help you get a higher PR.

* Link exchange

Some say it’s good,others say it’s bad.As usual,the best solution is always somewhere in the middle.
It’s good ,if you can take your time and select carefully,the websites that you are going to exchange links with.
Always try to exchange links with websites that have similar content to yours.
For example no need for a music blog to link to a webmaster forum.

* Quality and original content.

Yes,I know,I always come back to this point in my entries.I do it because ,it’s one of the main ingredient for success.
If an article of yours is original and unique,hundreds of websites will link to you and you will not even know why.
I always smile when I look at the referrals for some of my websites.
Websites that I don’t even have a clue of,link to me:because my content is original and unique.

* Be generous

This one is very simple,if you post something on your website always link back to your source.
When you link to these websites,one day they will do the same for you.
In this particular case ,patience is a virtue.

* Directories submission
Submit your website to as much directories as you can,some pretty good ones are free.
Dmoz and the other big ones are hard to get,but the small ones will accept you.
A link is always a link.

*Be active on other websites

-Have a signature on forums:always try to contribute in a positive manner,build up a good reputation if possible.
-Post funny and intelligent comments on blogs,with a link to your website of course.
It’s a win-win situation,you get visitors,plus you spread your link and the other website gets quality content.

*Social Networking

Social Networking is already known,to generate traffic,but for me it’s mainly a link building tool.
Let’s face it ,not all of your articles will make it to the first page of DIGG.You will be happy to get one there every week.
So when your articles get burried fast don’t be too sad,just tell yourself it’s a free link.

*Search Engines submission

Submit your website to search engines (google,yahoo,msn…).
Getting your site indexed,potentially means more visitors = more chances of someone linking back to you.
